Dig Blocks

Any block you find on the map (with a few exceptions) can be erased and reused by a construction ship. To do so, get a ship with the building capability (ICON OF BUILD CAPABILITY) close to a block and switch to build mode. Erase the block. It will transform into a collectable item:

Inside a certain range, the ship will automatically pick up collectable items. If the ship does not collect your block, you need to move it closer to the item. As soon as the ship collected the block, it is fully available as a block, which you can move/trade/build.
